With The Haemoville Suckers keen to make a good start to the season, and The Ugly Bleeders desparate not to repeat their first game debacle, this was always going to be close.

The Bleeders kicked, and the Suckers then had a decent half, managing over the course of the half and the drive to take out a couple of Orc players and finish with a score.

But the signs weren't all good - the vamps had lost a couple of players too, and following the goal an Orc drive made a fair push up the pitch, but the goal was averted by half-time.

The second half was a war of attrition for the Suckers, as more and more of their vampires were lost to the call of a quick pint or three of the red stuff. The Orc pressure began to tell, and after a brief period of confusion over how long was left, the Orcs scored in the dying seconds to tie the game.
